We just leased a seasonal site and very impressed by the new owner. Only met Mike. He was about 30 minutes away and came to the campground when we called him while we were visiting. He is a very nice man and excited that he can bring people together to enjoy their camping experience. He’s in the process of upgrading the sites and replacing the bathhouses and pavilion, laundry etc. We are so excited and already waiting on April 1st to start our new adventures at Mountain River Family Campground. I look forward to meeting you there either at the evening camp fires, fishing on the fully stocked Toe River and pond on site at this beautiful campground or at one of the many scheduled events together with family, friends and many new friends. Hope to see you there. Gods speed to Mike and Kim as they start their new adventure as well.
We are all set for the coming year! We can hardly wait to start our first annual season at Mountain River! It is such a beautiful place and look forward to start staying there in 2018! (We've enjoyed a weekend visit before) We met the new owners when there son did some repAirs on our RV last year. The entire family are wonderful people! We look forward to seeing them all around the campfire and catching some fish! And meeting our new Neighbors!
I really enjoyed my time at Mountain River Family Campground.Mike and his family were very helpful, and his son even helped us fix the heater before it got to cold.Enjoyed fishing and hiking it was a great spot.We caught quite a few trout while we stayed there. Thanks Shawn Allsberry
This RV campground just reopened as it has new ownership (was Secluded Valley RV Park). New owners were -very- friendly and accommodating! Campground was clean with all amenities and very reasonably priced. Very close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a nice trout fishing stream along the northern side of the campground. Saw some big fish being hauled out!
I have stayed at well over a 100 RV parks and Mike and Mountain River have been by far the best experience I have had. We planned on staying for a few weeks and finally after a few months we had to leave. Mike and his family or so helpful with everything. The park is located right on a gorgeous river and had a blast tubing and fishing for trout...including a 21 inch brown. Can not wait to go back. Thank You!
